Oil?
I'm sorry is this sounds a more than obvious question but do the Fs and TFs run better on the old oils, or the newer synthetics and what do most people use and why please?

I am by no means an authority on this subject, but here goes. There are ' straight ' engine oils , which is refined crude oil , fully synthetic oil ,which is entirely developed from blending chemicals and is quite expensive but has excellent lubrication properties and semi synthetic oil which is a blend of 'straight' oil and synthetic.
The K-series engine in the F nTF is fine on 10w/40 semi synthetic. Some on this forum go for fully synthetic oil but I feel it is a tad expensive but as I say its excellent oil .

I use fully synthetic oil (5w40 or 10W40 whichever is available) in both of our Fs. I use synthetic oil because I figure the oil is cheaper than engine work. If I wait to buy the oil on sale, there isn't much difference in cost.
