Cool Wall - 1st Gen. BMW Mini Cooper S
Now this will be a real marmite one.
When BMW relaunched the Mini, it was almost money no object as they attempted to recapture all the good qualities of the original combined with bulletproof build quality. The Cooper S had a supercharged 1.6 engine and needed a bonnet snout to feed air to the intercooler.
I'm biased as I had one as a company car which my new wife and I drove around Europe on honeymoon. The supercharger used to make a fantastic noise, like a mini Jaguar V8 R
Note: This is the first generation BMW Mini with the supercharged engine. IMHO they completely lost it with the 2nd generation which has been built down to a price and also spawned many ridiculous offspring and the bonnet snout became a fake gimmick.
However the most important thing is your vote in the poll above, what do you think - cool?

All the cars are now in the new Cool Wall section in the T-Bar :broon:

I'm a fan Andy.
My colleague is on his second 1st Gen Cooper, first one was just the Cooper, now he has the CooperS. Great fun car and now they have lost the plot with the 2nd Gen, i think the 1st becomes Cool.

I'd love to have a BMW MINI, but being a BMW product I wouldn't be able to afford the maintenance costs, let alone the purchase price.

The first generation BMW Mini has grown on me. When it first came out I thought it was too big, which it is to be a real 'mini'.
However compared to the new Mini Cooper S Countryman Click here to see the cool wall pics to compare , it is better.
Over recent years the average size of new cars has increased so the 1st Gen does begin to look 'mini-ish'
I have warmed to it over time and will now admit it is cool, just, but for a cool Mini it has to be the 60's Mini Cooper see here
