My Mate Ralph has done a souped-up MG-TD as well. He's not in the same tax bracket as Leno but decided to have a bit of fun with
a TD he had kicking around his shop.
The pics show the car in progress. It's now finished (he keeps changing things so it may never be "Finished"!)
It is fitted with a Judson supercharger, coil shocks, MGA Twin-Cam wheels with Hoosier road/race tyres, and a racing fuel cell which frees up the
original fuel tank for use as a beer cooler-Really!
It sure gets attention at meets and manages to upset both the T-Series and Twin-Cam purists.

And here's a TD I helped build back in the 80's. When we got the car it had a Volvo engine and gearbox fitted (A common 1960's swap)
We bobbed the wings, installed an MGB 1800 and gearbox and MGB front suspension. It went like the clappers!
Last I heard the car was in Germany.
The biplane radiator mascot is made from reworked beer cans!
