Finally got the reservoir I'd been waiting for and replaced it today, ran the system clean (the water coming out was quite disgusting!), filled her up with antifreeze, seems to be running fine at the moment :) took her for a little drive and sounded gorgeous.. missed this car!

This is the reason for replacement by the way...

Blimey - that's BAD!!!!!!!!

Soon I should be launching a new replacement header tank and warning system for the coolant. Completely new tank and cap and all associated wiring. Hoping to keep the cost down as much as possible or at least similar to the MGR solution.

I know! I couldn't believe it. My dad started pouring water in and told me to 'look for a leak', I just said almost right away, 'dad i think i've found the problem!' That replacement sounds good to me!

It is rather bad, you should have seen the state the cap was in too, I held it all between my index finger and thumb, was disgusting!

The pressure to destroy it has to come from somwhere... I'd check for HGF.
