We got to Aldershot in just over an hour and got to see the car which looked a bit neglected, In need of a gassing and a Bloody good clean,
Did the customary Checks and noticed there was hardly any in the coolant tank. of course my first thought was head Gasket so i was thinking walk away then came the fun part.
As the car was at a main Dealaer for another brand of car He said pull it in the workshop and the boys will have a look at it. Well 2 Mechanics were scratching their heads as to what to do as i was explaining that the car will have to be filled, beld and pressure tested, before I agree to take it away.
After I showed them where the engine hatch was and undid the hood clips and the engine cover I showed them how to bleed the car Until I was happy. Respect to the dealer as he actually offered me the chance to walk away from the deal even though the Car was bought unseen off of eBay.
Anyway after a cautions drive home thinking Please Please don't overheat (which actually turned out to be a very good and pleasant drive) We got home and Karl and I got to work detailing to see what was what after a good wash T-cut and hoovering out what seemed to be a Farm / Beach from the drivers footwell and Chearing the Mildew off the hood we are left with this.
So all in all Very happy with how she turned out. She will be off for MOT this week all that is needed is New Back box as she is rattling a fair bit,Front Number Plate, Head Light bulb, Washer Jet Motor, and 2 Rear Tyres And of course a gassing.

I love the '283, did it last week down to Henfield, we then went over the **** and down into Hove to buy a Sofa, the kids were disapointed when we got home with no Sofa, it didn't quite fit in the boot!
I've just posted a thread about washer pumps which may be of interest.

Thanks for the tip Clive sponged it off with damp sponge and it's as good as new.
Can't believe how well it came up to be honest.
