The T-Bar begins it's quest for Club status!!!

My fellow T-Bar'ers! Today we launch our bid to become a recognized and appoved car club! :woo:

Becoming an MSA approved club will be a great step for the T-Bar. Not only will it help us on the events side of the forum but it will help us achieve recognition in the MG sphere.

The forum has been quieter recently, I know this because I am one of the people who has waivered in my commitment to this place. So we can do one of two things. We can let this forum slowly fizzle and burn out... it's easy to do and soon it will be as if this place and it's fine members never existed. Or, we can remember all the great reasons why this forum was started and what it is we're fighting for! We're fighting for the right to have a fair, unbiased forum, where members are encouraged to feel like part of a community of friends rather than attacked for their differences or made to feel like a pest or an annoyance. Where to contribute is to help your community survive and flourish. Where each individual member is treat equally and as important as the member on the next laptop! And perhaps most importantly, we're fighting to keep the enthusiasm for our great convertibles alive! I know the majority of you have already been working really hard and contributing to make this place live and breathe and you have the eternal thanks of not just myself but every other member on here. So now we want to move to the next level. We want the recognition our community deserves and we want to become an established car club. We want people to know that when they join the T-Bar they are becoming part of a unique community that cares not only for the cars but for each other because that's what these car's mean to us. There not just cars, they are our pride & joy, they are what unites us and what gives us happiness - so let's fight to keep the MG spirit alive! To keep us alive!

Now to become an approved car club we need three things. First, we must have at least 25 members. So what we need is for you guys to step forward and say that yes you're happy for the T-Bar to achieve club status and yes you want to be a club member.

We will also need to set up a committee, naturally myself, Frank, David, Clive and Soph will form part of this committee but we will probably need a couple more comittee members so if anyone is interested please let me know.

Thirdly, we desparately need donations to raise the £60 needed for our application to the MSA. I know that's asking a lot, particularly when many of you have already subscribed to become forum friends but trust me when I say that if you can donate a couple of pounds you will more than see the benefit once we are an approved club.

So c'mon let's do this thing! Let's get our name out there and show people how cool the new kid on the block eally is! :woo2:

Aww thanks hun! I'm really greatful for everyone's generosity! It looks like we have funding sorted now so you can save your money for some MG goodies instead! :lol:

What we're looking for now then is for people to say yes there happy to be club members (so I'll add you to the list! :woo2: ) and if anyone else fancies taking on a committee roles let me know.

The way that this forum runs It always has felt as if you are a club member, so I have no problems with actually being called one.


I expect CJJ will wish to be the Vice Captain mind.
