Spot on info, I change oil at least every second year to prevent sludge buildup,especially important with the modded gearbox.

You will be pleased to know that Esmeralda has had her Steptronic gearbox oil changed and the problem has been completely resolved, her owner said its "just like new" correct fluid was used. just goes to show how vital the fluid is to this gearbox, thank you very much for your advice.:yesnod:

Good news.

We tend to neglect the fluids etc in the car, but it shows what can happen.
