:rolleyes2::frown:On the Border Patrol Run on Saturday I hit a large ripple in the tarmac on the road between Middleton and Alston. It was quite funny at the time because the Lady became airborne and everything fell off inside the car sat nav and radio panel flew across the cockpit and the glove box shed its contents. Later on at Hartside Pass the car was not behaving as well as she normally does, she was oversteering on left handers and understeering dreadfully on right handers but seemed stable if pulling to the left a little in a straight line, so I had to take it fairly steadily up and down the pass.
On further examination yesterday noticed that the front wheels were not pointing entirely in the same direction.
On looking under the car I found that the nearside lower suspension arm had become bent into quite an interesting piece of modern art. Sadly no ****ing use at all as a suspension component.
Anyway the surgery should be started this afternoon, and I will supply a health bulletin later.

Ah no, mate!

Major downer.

Hope the surgery is successful.:yesnod:

There were definitely some 'interesting' variations in the road surface on the run. :shake: Could have been any one of us.:dunno:

Thanks for the vote of confidence Clive. Diagnosis has been confirmed as cracked and deformed lower arm, and interesting shaped (very bent) track rod. Should be done tomorrow.

Well if I'm being honest I'm not suprised... I hate to say that the reason this happened is because you were up north but you wouldn't find any of that on our hardy southern roads. :p

But seriously, hope you get if fixed quickly & cheaply. :grouphug:
