Good News and bad news....finally got a bootrack!

[ATTACH=CONFIG]383[/ATTACH][ATTACH=CONFIG]384[/ATTACH]Been hunting high and low for a boot rack, finally managed to get one at a half decent price off of fleabay.... It's a ripspeed example, chrome and wood, very nice, but... there are not fitting straps.. what's the best way to fit.. I was going to use luggage straps and take them under the boot lid and more luggage straps to secure the suitcase... will post a picture of it tonight (if needed)

Anyone got any experience of this?

I dont think you will be able to pull it down tight enough and get the boot closed, it should have an adjustable clamp that fixes to the rack frame and hooks over the side of the bootlid~ try contacting RIPSPEED to see if you can get spares.

funny you should say about pics... here they are.... just struggling to get hold of ripspeed to secure the bloody thing as no fittings!

Sorry to suggest going after RIPSPEED for clamps, did not know that is now part of Halfords and they have dropped most of their things like bootracks etc in favour of "Boy Racer" items like alloys and ICE Systems! Good luck
