Broken door handle....

The mrs was trying to exit the car this afternoon, we drove a short distance and she did not have her belt on, so did not realise that the belt and buckle were stuck in the door....

when she tried to open the door using the handle inside the car, she kept pulling it harder and harder till it broke.. anyone know if this is an easy fix... luckily 2 factors in my favour... Karen's dad (a mechanic) is with us and by sheer chance Exmouth where we are staying has a Rover dealer, so if parts are needed....

Really easy fix... door card off.. unscrew the handle unit/cable.. pop it off (cable will be atatched with clip to lock mechanism) - reverse procedure to put new one on.

thanks Adam, a job for the morning... she was gutted and convinced it was going to cost a fortune to fix.... might not let her know just yet....

hehe - always best so as to put her off yanking the next one to bits!
