mgf centre consol

hi guys just got a silver mk2 centre consol for my mk1 mgf. not sure but i think i might be missing something, if you look at my mk1 centre consol there are 3 lugs one at the top and one either side to hold it in place, the silver mk 2 hasnt any thing what am i missing. has any one got any ideas as i have done a google search but they dont show the back of the consoles.

Have you tried fitting it?

yes just tried fitting it.yhere is deffently something missing, will have to have a closer look on the net to see if there is a picture of the rear .

From what I remember from doing Meg's the lugs should be in the same place as the Mk1 ones.

A case of "spot the difference" Presumably the blue spring clips are just pushed on to plastic lugs moulded on the the rear of the Mk 1 Version the panel you have got appears to have tapped holes where the lugs/clips should be. try easing a clip off the original one to see what the post its fixed too looks like?? :S

not sure but i think i have found what im missing saw this on ebay, and i havent got this on the back of the console,

Ah the bit that holds the dials! I knew there was something that had tabs on it! Grab it if it's cheap!
