Be a good idea to ensure the coolant is up to Canadian Winter temperatures before it ships out of Blighty.:yesnod:
That is a great thought, - 50% strength coolant is supposed to be good down to minus 30 deg C providing it has not been watered down. would seem sensible to have it drained and refilled before shipping.

-30 may sound impressive but it just isn't good enough for a 2 week train trip across Canada in January. I spent one winter in Manitoba and saw temps as low as -58.
The other thing I will ask the dealer to do before shipping is to make sure the battery is fully charged. The shipping company charges a hefty surcharge if they have to tow your car on or off the ship.
