pop-up dialog

pop-up dialog was created by petevick

if I click on certain links eg Forum>Profiles, I keep getting a dialogue box pop-up with the following message....

This web site needs a different Google Maps API key. A new key can be generated at http://code.google.com/apis/maps/signup.html.

Anyone know how I might kill it ??

Also, I'm guessing I have to be around for a while longer to earn the right to a signature ??

Working on fixing that as we speak, i've got it sorted on a few pages, but still a few to go.

Yes you can have a signature, the trick is finding where to put it, the site currently runs two users profiles one for the soical side and one for the forum, they are half integrated but fully yet, something else which is on my list.

To find your signature.

Click on the Communty menu item at the top.
On the next menu line down select Edit Profile in the Forum menu.
Click the Edit button which is at the end of the line saying 'Profile for petevick'
Then go to the Profile Information tab,
Scroll all the way and there is your Signature box, it accepts bbcode and some html if you want images etc..

You know, I kept meaning to ask about both theses things!

Certainly the signature instructions need to be more easily found, as a few people who transferred to the new site lost their signatures. Clive is one that comes to mind. He just has a sad little empty sig pics dialogue.
Bless!

The pop message on the profiles pages should now be gone.

Check the 'Remember me' box below the login. Is it still ticked?

I find that sometimes it lasts a few days before i have to sign in again, and sometimes only one session? That's doing it from home page, and includes home and work.

Not the end of the world, but its the only site that I use that this happens to, so I am guessing something is wrong?
