We were passed and then followed a 350z on an "08" plate over the weekend on the M27 and the guy had lowered the suspension so much that the rims were just visible in the arches. His exhaust system was in danger of being ripped off - it couldn't have been more than an inch off fthe road. How ridiculous to spend a fortune on a car, more on modding it to the level it's unusable on the road. We zipped past on a rough stretch and laughed at what he would do in Bournemouth with the speed bumps and just the worst town roads in the county. We have a K&N air tube set underneath our "F" and these get clipped from time to time. I want a Road Tax refund.

So do tell - how on earth are you going to get air induction from the front to the rear Daz? Surely not from underneath, there's not much room!

Jeff

PS
I have made a pair of bushes cast in shore60 grade polyurathene to suit the lower engine shackle/mount. So far so good.
I know you were wary about this and I took heed of what you said. Please look out for updates to the thread on the subject I started a few days ago. In a couple of days the casting will have attained max strength and I shall publish my experiences and opinions to the forum. As you inferred Daz, there's more to this shackle/mount than is immediately obvious.

hi jeff your car is a very well engineered car.As regards air from the front to the back its easier then you think,That part of the the car will be shown later in the build,How ever we will not be showing the whole design. As regards people lowing there cars, all it does in mess up the suspension, tyres and safety of the car.Over the years seen a few mgf/tf lowered.Upper ball joints worn, tyres worn and suspension out of line.
it surprising easy to get air from the front to the rear.We have done it a few times. But I shouldnt think many people are intrested in things like that.
The air is also forced induction as well.she is also having extra cooling and extra engine bay cooling.
the engine is going to be a k series, stronger lighter pistons, balance crank, lightened fly wheel.
the head is reworked and emerald ecu.T T straight through exhuast and it should be 190 bhp.
she is having uprated brakes all round, and cool air ducted to the front brakes.
quick shift gear selector,
We decided not to continue with putting a v6 engine into the car,we want to take the car on runs and shows, and decided to keep her a rover.we simply dont have the time to start redesigning a car and then sorting out the problems after her build.

hi jeff,I have always been impressed at you in depth knowlegde of your car,and your always keen to improve your car. There are some things we do that we dont like to share.Minor things but they give ours cars an edge against other mgfs. However I will be happy to show you how we get air from the front to the rear of the car and compress the air to cause a small ram effect. It gains mid to top end power and some times thats important.
We have two cars that will be going on mgf days out, track days etc.
How ever we will be happy to invite you to see how we do the air flow when we have built the latest car.

Hi Daz, I do like a good build thread, especially when it's some-what out of the box!

Where about's is your company based, If you happen to be near me I wouldn't mind popping down to see what crazy things you can spend my money on!
