Would this be too Chavvy?

Frankly "Chav" isn't a term we use here but I think I have picked up the gist of it from the forums....so,
My MGF is charcoal in colour with a black interior. I do really like it but would like to give the car a bit of punch.
This is what I'm considering. Please let me know if i'm going over the top into "Chav Man's Land."

Charcoal body colour with:
Starlight Silver Trophy Boot Spoiler
(possibly with charcoal MG logos on the end panels)
Starlight Silver Mirrors
Silver Roll Hoops (not chrome)

When i get around to mine, I intend the car to be orange (le500), with black bits. I'm thinking.

1. Windscreen Surround
2. petrol cap
3. vents
4. Middle of the bumpers (all done one the front)
5. Boot Hinge Covers

If your memory goes back a few years silver(chrome) was the only option for door/ wing mirrors. :yesnod: So I say go for it! It'll be pretty easy to change back if you don't like them.

As for the le500 look, the only thing I don't like on the 500 is the black wheels.

Rich is in a unique position over there and his car is quite a crowd puller. So, in that case, the more you add to it, the more chance you have of showing something that pleases some of the crowd. I think 'Chav' is unique to the UK isn't it? It's just another excuse for not liking bling.

And remember that people are paying a fortune to chrome door mirrors on their cars now!

I don't know about that Burberry cap. :sick: We have a large Chinese community here and I'm sure I could get one at the night market (they sell Burberry rip-offs of everything)...... but I won't! :nonod:
With the cold hard light of day I'm having second thoughts about the silver, but will likely still go for the parts. My daughter's boyfriend had an idea. He said, "If you don't like the silver spoiler you could always do a carbon-fibre wrap on it."
