Is this service too over the top for people? was created by rough luck
Posted 13 years 1 month ago #29386I'm toying with the idea of providing a leather trimming service
Yeah yeah I know its not anything I can do well enough to put out on you people
So what I've done is found an excellent award winning interior trimmer to do the work for me
The idea is for leather dashes, centre tunnels, T-bars and seats
You tell me the colour leather you want and the style/colour of stitching you what
I'll sort it all out and even come to you to fit it
I have the first dash and centre tunnel with him at the moment, so pictures of quality etc will follow shortley
example price would be for the dash and centre tunnel exchange and fully fitted around £400

A dash and centre tunnel for £400 sounds a serious bargain, Jon. I look forward to seeing the piccies!

Posted 13 years 1 month ago #29433So I'll be able to let you know and see the pics as soon as its ready
I had a set back on the extra cheap stainless steel coolant pipes as the costings came in today
I'm now setting about making a jig from an old set of MG ones and will be in touch with suppliers for the raw parts tomorrow

Posted 13 years 1 month ago #29462Definitely something to consider, but what would look good in a BRG TF? Dark green? Black? Green/black? Decisions decisions...
on the MG badge, if the end result was not quite 'up to scratch', could this be substituted with a colour badge attached in place? May add to the cost, but I always thought the badge on the console should have been an inset with a badge anyway.

Posted 13 years 1 month ago #29463Only problem with a proper badge in that position is reflection in the windcsreen.
Maybe remove the badge entirely and replace it with a Heads Up Display unit similar to modern jet fighters?
