Just when i got the answer too :woohoo: The link is the MG SV and The MGSVR which were designed by MG Sports and Racing in 2004 and were based on the MANGUSTA (formerly De Tomaso) after Bruce Qvale sold the rights for the Mangusta (his sole product) to MG Rover Group in 2003.

Yes and to complete, the Qvale Mangusta was built at the company's site in Modena, Italy.
Just out of interest one sold at auction recently
Right then Bryan, think you better post that photo of the MG (name removed to give others a chance) again.

That is the one that was owned by Luffield Cars, it was only registered in 2009 to go to the MG Heritage Festival in Windsor and has not been used since!! its chassis number is 139 the 34th of 61 RHD cars built. and it was up for sale at £44,995

was waiting for you to say What :blink:PQD44 wrote: Is it Magnesium Fluoride
this What ....
1931 or 1932 MG F Magna, 1276cc in-line 6 Cylinder ?
This is I believe an MGF1 the four seater open tourer, which cost £250 when new. Magnesium Fluoride MgF2 would be the 2 seater version made in 1932 with same engine.

Scrap that last guess, it's earlier, got it :woohoo:
MG's first production racecar, the Mark III 18/100, or Tigress model, was introduced in 1930. It was a six-cylinder car with a 2.5-litre overhead camshaft engine. Only five were ever made, for the full story Click on this link
