Most miles

Just read on "another forum that shall remain nameless" (maybe it should be called Voldemort?) about MGF Wriggly having done about 177 000 miles. Thought it would be fun to find the highest mileage F (or TF!) still running. Mine is a mere youth at 104 000 miles...

My theory was: if the engine has done 100k, then its probably inherently sound. Whereas one with only 20k on the clock might be because its always breaking down... :silly:

I was working on wriggley at the weekend and for that mileage he's running fine now

I'm not sure if mine really counts, I stopped totting it up when it went over 250,000 but I've had so many different engines an gearboxs

wriggley is still the same lump that came out of the factory

250,000 :omg: Well according to the DVLA the vehicle is identified by the VIN number and just because you change the engine the vehicle is still the same one. So yes it counts, you're winning so far.

I always hankered after a BGT! Until I tried to get behind the steering wheel. :omg: I would have had to remove my head to fit in! And it's not even a drophead! ;)

You should try a TVR (headroom OK just getting in and issue), my buddy had to crawl in on all fours and had to roll out onto hands and knees - not elegant.
