The MG Car Club of Tasmania was asked to provide 28 roadsters for the Tasmanian round of the Australian V8 Supercar Championship. After a lot of frantic phone calls we managed to assemble all 28 cars of which there were two F's in attendance. Only one car misbehaved (an MGB), dumping oil the length of pit lane. Here are few photos of the day.

 Cheers bacchus thanks for posting such wonderful photo's.

Rich if you think that advertising is bad, in Germany the filling stations have crates of beer stacked up on special offer as you walk in the door

When I was in Germany I was surprised to see beer for sale in McDonald's. They seem to give adults more credit for being responsible there. (And hopefully cut them less slack when they're not!)

I've seen a couple of rounds of the V8 Supercars on TV here. Good racing! I find it more interesting than the usual Nascar fare we get here in NA. Nascar is more tactics and less racing, sort of like American football compared to rugby.

One of the best series to watch are the Aussie Race Cars, these things are a one design using tubular space frame construction and 1.2l twin cam putting out 125 BHP at 11,500 RPM.

You've obviously never been to a filling station, or corner store in some American States, where it's sometimes hard to get around the stacks of so called beer as you enter a store.
