Stone chips

I am finding that the extended sill section of the TF has a large area facing the front wheel and this is getting quite badly stonechipped. It doesn't help that much of my driving is on country roads, most of which were re-surfaced with wet tar and loose chips the week before I got the TF:shake: Then we got rain, more rain then just to make sure, some more rain that washed all the chips from the verges back onto the road again:skeptical:

Got some paint on order to fix it but wondered if it was a common TF problem. I did get some minor chips on the F but nothing of this scale.

That's a good reminder - I was thinking a while back of a peugeot I once had and they had fitted this clear protection film on the wheel arch and it worked well.

Hi all. I just tried the Internet address I posted. For some reason it fails.
So open e-bay and enter 3M paint protection off the roll.

From their Add,

Genuine Clear 3M Paint Protection Film 0.6 mm thick. This film has properties which include UV inhibitors, is non-yellowing and eliminates paint damage from stone chips, road salts and insect impact damage. This product has an approximate life of three to five years.

Thats all I need to know. Don't like yellow !!!
