That explains the ever so slight coolant loss.

Now are you sure it's not just the windscreen wiper, most times a garage see a k-series powered car they say HGF even when you tell 'em 'it's the windscreen that's dirty ' :silly:

Seriously, sorry to hear that, but haven't you had 60,000 miles out of the last one? Look on the bright side, you can do a fantastic super service on the car and do all those little jobs you wanted to get done while you have access.

Sorry to hear that! was there any warning? do you think its the fact this week the temp has dropped and this added to the block temperature gradient as you started? :(

I think that the blocked thermostat has overheated, the engine somewhat causing an old cap to give up and release coolant.
I mention no names, but someone did come home and say ' that low level light is faulty, it's been flashing all the way home...' :nonod:

Water (or should I say coolant) under the bridge now!

At least it is just a sunny weekend's job to put right.

Funny how these weekend jobs always seem to occur during winter
when it's absolutely no fun doing them. :(

Russell be warned, David has a habit of photographing you when you least expect it and has covert video cameras just to catch any embarrassing moments. If there aren't any embarrassing moments he'll just edit it to make it look like there are.

I can feel a picture heavy detailed description of mechanical wizardry coming our way for Christmas ;)
