Sooooo, regarding the use of your F/TF............

........what is the daftest thing you have ever done?

Mine are and not in any particular order of stupidity........

Putting my head out of the side window with out winding it down first. I leaned three things from this. Wind window DOWN before putting head out, these side windows are tough and do not break if you head butt them, a dirty window is much safer than a clean one!

Having my base ball cap blow off my head and spending nearly an hour unsuccessfully looking for it. I ordered another from the MG car club. The day after the new one turned up I found the 'lost' cap behind my drivers seat!

Parking front on to a curb in a car park then forgetting and driving forward to the sound of a very loud scrapping sound.

Ignoring a few spots of rain while driving topless, thinking it was going to be a passing shower only for it to turn into a down pour of Biblical proportions.

Putting the removable face panel from my radio on the boot of the car, forgetting and driving off...................... :oops:

Can't think of any really.

I put new oil in the engine and THEN realised that I didn't have the drain plug in.

I connected the feed for the heater the wrong way round when I put the subframe back in and spent the next year wondering why my heater had problems (always blew hot when above 3000 revs).

There's probably dafter stuff, but I can't remember.

Probably the daftest thing didn't involve the TF but did involve a window global opening function and a snowy night.

As mentioned on here a couple of weeks ago. I not only didn't close the bonnet but I didn't even put it on the safety latch. Forgot all about it and drove off. After four miles I discovered the critical limit for bonnet lift off is 54mph.
