Detailing Products!
I'm putting together a detailing section (you may have noticed) and I'm doing a "recommended/useful" products thread.
So far I have the following the following products on my list to post up:
- Autoglym Shampoo
- Autoglym Super Resin Polish
- Autoglym Aqua Car Wax
- Simoniz Wash n Wax
- Demonshine
- Autoglym Fast Glass
- Autoglym Alloy Wheel Cleaner
- Autoglym Tyre Dresser
- Meguiars Clay Kit
- Microfibre Cloths
- Microfibre Mitts
- Application Sponge
- Wheel Brush
- Paint Brush
- Body Brush
Now what would be great is if I could pick you lads' & lasses' brains! Firstly if you would like to recommend a product then please post it up here with the reason why you recommend it.
Secondly if you use any of the products/accessories above can you post up a short review (positive or negative) of them. Doesn't have to be much even a couple of lines will do - just something to explain why you do/don't use it & what results it gives.
:thanks:

Yep, I agree with that. Gives leather back its suppleness too.
I just need something to repair leather that's had its surface rubbed off.:dunno:

You get two spray containers-one of cleaner and a second one of reproofer. You even get a small sponge.
I use this and the finished hood is beautifully waterproof.
The only caveat is that the kit won't recolour the fabric. For that you will need Renovo reconditioner, which comes in various colours.
Renovo also produce their own cleaner and watwerproofer.

collintie 476 wax/polish....found this works brilliantly...the water really beads off the paint work

meguiars polishing pads work a treat for application

fabsil is a great alternative to expensive autoglym treatments if on a budget

also a little tip...(i think most know this but...)...autoglym super resin polish is awesome for doing the back plastic window....really comes up clear as day
i also use most of the other items mentioned in first post....demon shine is great for a quick clean but the collinite etc gets done twice a year when i spend about 4 hours in total doing it...spring and autumn.....gives a good base for the winter months and makes the summer cleaning a lot easier
incidentally this is all by hand.....heard bad things about those buffer machine thingy-majigs....:bye:
