The guide and pics for this
'How to' were provided by 'mgf1998'. Click here to view the original thread.
I gave the dash bits a paint as they had a snake skin effect on them that was all cracked.
First I gave them a good sand with 240 wet & dry sandpaper.
Then I gave them a good clean with a damp cloth.
I then used a hair dryer to dry them.
Use a hair dryer to get them warm, ready for primer.
I used this plastic primer from b&q, really good stuff. Apply a lite coat first.
Give them 3 coats, use the hair dryer between coats. Afterwards I put them in the airing cupboard over night to dry.
Next, use an in between coat pad to give them a lite sanding all over.
Now they are ready for the top coat. Use the dryer again to warm the plastic
and just dust them over for the coat.
Leave for 5 mins then give them a full coat. Leave for another 5 minutes, still use the dryer, now give them a good wet coat.
This is the finished product.

I sprayed some up in gloss black, but 6 months later they've bubbled quite badly, not sure if it's heat...too much paint in too thick coats or what, but going to try sanding them right back and doing them in spectre...fingers crossed!
