Wheels?
I really want a set of these wheels for my F.Have they got a name and could I use the standard brakes with them as they are 16",What are the chances of finding a set?
Are they the same size front and back or different like the standard wheels?

They are called square spokes. The 16" fetch more money than 15's but that's because they are harder to get hold of.
I sold a set to Mindy a few months back for £50.

On the subject of 16 inch wheels compared to 15s what is the ride like on a tf on 16s? On 15s it is pretty poor, is it much worse on bigger wheels??

I changed from 15" to 16" and didnt really notice any difference in the ride - but then I have a MY2005 car which has softer springs than older ones - same as LE500

They are Six Spoke wheels and come in 15" and 16" sizes - the rims are the same width front and back, it is the tyre sizes that are different.
I paid £180 for a perfect set of four 15" ones from a 2004 TF and the steel spare. two continental premium contact on the legal limit and two Pirelli P6000 on the rear 6mm of tread, but rubbish on a MGF or TF, just had a price of £160 to spray them pearlescent black.
Those Trophy blue ones look nice (that is if you want that colour)
The going rate for refurbishing and respraying a wheel is about £55. :yesnod:
