saw this today but was not able to get the imax showing...... was fantastico!!!!!!! love the 3d.

Well we finally watched Avatar!

My verdict... you can't fault the special effects, superbly designed creatures and panoramic shots they are simply stunning! However if you take all this away you're left with a movie with very little substance, stereotypical characters, over-recycled storyline and an unrealistic ending (in my personal opinion). I know I'm going to be unpopular for saying it but I felt it wasn't quite all it was hyped up to be. I'd give it 7/10. Having said that I REALLY want one of those flying creatures! And if Weta did make a line of collectibles from the film I would be interested in buying them. :thumbsup:
