G'day fellas.
I've just found that the dashboard curved panel (over the instruments in front of the driver) is starting to go soft and mark on my car! Its kept in the garage out of the sun but obviously isn't that UV stabilised. I just treated the dash and plastic panels with Meguires Interior trim cleaner-preserver and noticed the inner aspect of the curved dash panel start to mark and its sticky to the touch.
My cars dash colour is cream (what ever MG call that finish) and the panel is a few shades darker than the rest of the dash. Is this panel available from MG dealerships in the UK or wreckers? I surmise it's replaceable as it looks to be a separate part to the main dash.
Thanks for any info on this and best wishes everyone.

Bugger, I just checked Rimmer Bro (just purchased the throttle cable from them as well) and it looks like the complete dash needs to be purchased, and no cream ones in stock.

Thanks Davem and great find. That's exactly what I'm after.
I wonder how you go getting the required colour into it?
Anyway, I'm off to Pommy EBay!

I repaired my Binnacle then textured it and sprayed it to the required colour. I am sure you can use UV stabilized paint to get it very close to the cream shade you are after. £35 seems a bit steep for a binnacle i am sure they can be had for less. Another thought might be to get one and have it covered in either Alcantera or leather in a contrasting shade or match your existing interior.

There's a mob on pommy ebay that do leather covers, the ones the list on ebay are all black but I recall that they say that they can do them in other colours

They do do one I've seen it on ebay before but maybe they're out of stock or something and haven't got it listed ATM, I'd give them a oy! and find out what the story is.
My instrument binnacle hood is looking a bit scruffy and cracked.
I've been considering fixing the crack and hiding it with the leather covering.

Texture will change if you just spray, I used a stone finish paint then painted over that, got to say I was going for a black finish so it was easier than cream.
