Can someone tell me how to remove the lamp holder from the rear of the oil gauge on my MK1 MGF please. does the holder just pull out or twist and pull? looked on a spare gauge and there is an odd shape hole but no holder. Also what is the bulb type for this instrument and is the one in the adjacent clock the same.
Many thanks in advance

This pic was taken on a 97, the holder on the right is for the clock and uses a different globe than the one on the left, the oil temp gauge. It just needs a twist and pull backwards. It is the connection at the top of the gauge and could be done simply with the vent removed I think. It has a red/black wire and a black wire going to it.
