Yes you can..
I did
I sanded the entire dash/interior smooth..
The plastic primed (after a lot of panle wipe)

I also cut the MG badge off the dash.. And filled in the air bag blank
First lot of paint I had was high gloss and not satin
Notice the smoothed air bag blank and the lack of MG badge on the dash
