Looking at that I notice that there was a price difference for both the leather and oxford leather packs between the MPI and the VVC models. You got slugged more for the leather options in a MPI than you would for a VVC.
Apart from being mechanically different, it would seem to me that the two models are indentical as far as the interiour is concerned.

And looking at the performance and fuel consution figures, I wonder why any Steppies were sold at all.......less fun, costly, thirster, slower and more mechanically complex :nonod: theres not a lot of reasons that would encourage me to tick that particular option box

I put some Japanese Manuals and some photo cards up there too at some point - if you need them again let me know.

Good thread. I've uploaded 2 shots here of the June 2001 price list which also includes the Trophy.

Cobber,

The VVC had seats with leather inserts (ie cloth & leather) rather than all cloth as in the MPi - I guess they had to charge less for the VVC 'upgrade' to confirm that the standard VVC trim was better than the standard MPi.

I love the bit about the new gear knob but I think they missed a bit at the end. Shouldn't it say ' feel really special to the touch as your skin freezes to it on a winter's morning'?
