I am considering installing stainless steel mesh in the opening on my boot lid.
Has anyone else done this?
Have you got any photos?

I used the same mesh to cover other openings too
The car is now being broken :nonod: and most parts are still available.

I fitted some boot mesh using self adhesive pads .....you can get them in the correct size or just trim them with a pair of scissors.

Hi James, did this two years ago.
First I used some cheap mesh which got rusty after a few weeks. Removed it and fitted some stainless steel mesh. Easy peasy job and looks great .
Will add some photos as soon as I can.
Kind regards
Christof

Cheers guys, I have done the side vents and have the kit to do the front bumper.
I also have brand new mesh that should have gone in a ZS front bumper and some off cuts so can do the other bits, I also have a ex kitchen bin which is just perfect to cover the heat shield over the exhaust.

Some pictures following. The mesh is stainless steel which I let cut to the right size (two separate pieces) where I bought them. They cut it with a special laser-cutter.
In the third picture you can see how I fixed the mesh: First of all I placed it correctly by the help of cable ties, than I used an applicator gun with clear Pattex fitting glue. Next day I cut the cable ties - job done.
I like the look of this mesh. Hope it helps somebody.
