Windows open (a bit) under a cover?

I get condensation on these cold mornings, all over the windscreen and it takes a while to clear. The Mike Satur glass wind deflector doesn't help either - so much for a heated rear screen!
Anyway, I bought a Mike Satur Storm Mate cover for it and I've read elsewhere that you should leave the windows partly down (an inch or so on each side) to allow air flow through the car, equalising the internal and external temperature, thus reducing condensation.
Anyone else do this? Or do you put those dehumidifier things in? Or is the cover good enough to keep the car snug and dry?
It's not a daily driver, so the hassle of putting a cover on and off isn't an issue.
TIA,
Nick

if it is garaged it doesn't matter, if outside 3mm each window will do the trick.but put the cover on.

Pull the carpets back in the footwells and check for water collected under the soundproofing.
Usually get a big build up of condensation when there is water inside the cockpit.

I have some rock salt in an open container which helps.
I periodically dry it out on a radiator indoors.
I also have a heated front screen that works wonders.
The only problem with leaving the windows ajar is the risk of setting off the alarm.

I wish! Despite having a 2004 TF and the alarm control box (which I have replaced) I don't have a working ultrasonic alarm. No idea why. Mind you, I don't actually know where the sensors are located, so maybe they are missing or the wires have been cut when the roll hoops were fitted (previous owner).

The ultrasonic alarm sensor is behind the T-bar.
