Hi Graham. I used to work for RHM Bakeries transport and had to fit the decals on some of the trucks we operated way back when the world seemed a better place . For the decals to fit easily I recall we used to spray a soapy solution to the body work .

I'm looking at those for the wife's car.

As sworks says use a spray soap solution and take your time.

If it's any help try jacking the car up so you can sit down and do them, ideally on a crawler board.

I fitted these quite easily..

Ooh don't let the missus hear you calling it a fiat!!

We were corrected loads of times when we were ordering it by the salesman who kept saying it's not a fiat it's an abarth, different company.

I kept referring to it as a fiat just to wind him up!!

sorry, I stand corrected if I am wrong I admit it, but it does look like a fiat don't you think?. we all can't be right all the time, but in saying I am 99% of the time, this is the 1% I'm not lol.

oh yeah, we know it's a fiat.

It even says 500 on the dash but apparently abarth is a Ferrari owned company.

I think the salesman may have been BS'ing Andy.

According to Wikipedia -

2007: rebirth of Abarth & C. S.p.a.[edit]
On 1 February 2007 Abarth was re-established as an independent unit with the launch of the current company, Abarth & C. S.p.a.,[18] controlled 100% by Fiat Group Automobiles S.p.A., the subsidiary of Fiat S.p.A. dealing with the production and selling of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. The first model launched was the Abarth Grande Punto and the Abarth Grande Punto S2000. The brand is based in the Officine 83, part of the old Mirafiori engineering plant.[19] The CEO is Harald Wester.[20]

In 2015 Abarth's parent company was renamed FCA Italy S.p.A., reflecting the incorporation of Fiat S.p.A. into Fiat Chrysler Automobiles that took place in the previous months.
