It's a good upgrade. Fitting a new belt should be pain free in future :broon:

Hi Graham

Next job on my list!

Did you experience any major problems with the modification (i.e. seized bolts). Did you work from under the car or through the wheel arch?

worked from the top through the engine bay to get the socket wrench down to the bolt, and through the wheel arch, no problems with the bolts coming out, one of the easiest jobs I have done still scrapped my knuckles a bit but a job well worth doing, just make sure the lock nuts are away from the alternator body or you won't be able to lock them up. just going to get stainless steel engine cooling pipe fitted on Saturday and a new belly pan and that's it for this year, had enough for this year, do what needs doing next year, when funds are available, think I have rebuilt this since I have had it, by the way, make sure you have done all the jobs that need doing while the engine cover is off, don't be like me and have to take the bleeding thing off half a dozen times

didn't I say so, one pain in the ass, but when you have done it all you can forget about it, all being well, but think twice and if unsure just put a few bolts in, then you haven't got the pain of removing them all again, good luck and may the gods be with you,
