stainless steel cooling engine pipe

took the car to Bolton mg and alfa spares to get the new engine cooling pipe fitted, found out the head gasket was weeping, now having the head gasket done with new water pump and cam belt and pully pully, he is going to sort out my window on the drivers door as when you put it up it seems like it jolts with a bang, pick it up on Saturday there goes £500, good job I love the car or it would have been a kettle now,

Is the gasket MLS or the early one , do you know ? That's bad luck either way mate.

hi, John, it was the early gasket the rubber one, he is going to fit the new updated one, he says it will last the life of the car, so it will at least give me peace of mind

MLS can still fail under certain circumstances, although it is rare. Are they fitting the uprated lower oil rail with it?

yes I got it wrong they are in Oldham heads has not been too clear since he hit me with the price, but well worth the hassle.

Yep, a brisk stroll from one to t'other. A snip at 18 miles...:whistle:

Brighton and Shoreham... Same place really. 8 miles or so: East Sussex.
Chichester to Worthing: 20 miles. West Sussex. Same place really.
