A friend of mine who owns a 53 plate TF had the same problem and when I put my Pscan on, it too gave the same faults . The cam sensor is pretty reliable so we cleared that fault and it just left the lambda which when it was replaced the fault code cleared . Since then the cam sensor fault has returned but it didn't put the light on . He just noticed a slight hesitation when driving the car . We put the code reader on and again the fault was cam sensor . I removed the sensor and cleaned it and it hasn't been a problem since . Just put it down to a TF thing .

Consider a www.pscan.eu - considerably more expensive than a "cheap" scanner but even considerably many many times better.

sworkscooper wrote: If I could just add to James comment . I have a Pscan and it is very good and , is still being developed . The only reason against it is that it is MG/ROVER specific and obviously wouldn't be any good for other makes as far as I am aware .
John .
I believe that the pscan does work with other cars but only in OBD2 mode, which is I guess what you'd expect and in that sense is as good as a basic OBD scanner. I'm pretty sure I used it on my X-type when I had it to check the MIL and it gave the same codes as my OBD scanner.
If you have an OBD2 capable F or TF (ie MEMS3 perhapst a bluetooth OBD2 scanner with the Torque App would be a cheaper and possibly more useful alternative.
