I even had steam coming out of my exhaust. So it *must* have done some good! It probably cleaned the cat too on it's way through :)

What I should have done, in hindsight, was to pull the plugs before and after and note their condition. If they improve and look cleaner, you could probably safely assume the rest of the combustion chamber would too....

thats exactly what Im doing right now. I had the plugs out only a week back, so will be able to tell...


Edit : yes, I think a little cleaner, though it's hard to tell. They were not too bad previously.

Well that was a fun experiment. Can't go for a drive till I've fixed brake light switch and had MOT done, so will not be able to report actual performance for a day or two.
