Hi,
Has anyone replaced the existing Aerial with a DAB compatible one?
It's time for an upgrade on the Audio!

I normally retain the original aerial and use a DAB splitter to good effect.

Same as Talkingcars here

Used an active powered splitter, so standard areal feeds both DAB and FM input.

Works fine.

I fitted a 3dB high gain antenna on a swivel mount in the opposite position to the existing antenna, so I now have 2 antennae...one for digital and the other for FM.
I get exceptional DAB+ reception, way beyond the "official" transmission range.

There were some dual band ones I was looking at on eBay a while back that looked very similar to the original other than a very slight bulge in the middle for the phasing. (1/4 wave for VHF and 3dBi collinear for dab). Looked like it would screw onto original mount. Either a passive or active splitter network would be needed as well unless radio has a combined input.

Edit: just had a look now and can't see them anymore. Typical! Personally, though I would probably go for an onglass one

Hi Stu,
We’ve done the same on our XJR as a temporary fix.
We really wanted to go the route of a full replacement
