Hi after waiting to try and get a "good" silencer bid up to £185 for a TT which isn't what I am really after but tbh not really sure which I want, just want to try and get one on before I try and get it mapped time running out after last problems.So question is shall I just buy a new one?

Toyosports still making and selling on ebay.

They did have a bad reputation for hangers tearing off and damaging silencer, but they have been re-designed now, and similar construction to standard silencer.

I used the older ones, and after repairs/strengthening am very happy with them. Nice sound, but not too loud.

We fitted a Toyo to my car at the weekend, the hangers are all wonky, it needs to come off to be adjusted.

I did but I only paid about £100 for it.

Well have ordered a toyosport silencer hope I am happy with it only really wanted one that sounds better at revs?

Hi silencer and ramps have arrived so I can fit it soon, but one last question with the problems of the toyosports exhaust some times having problems with mountings should I fit a exhaust band or have they improved the new ones ?

If the mounts are welded to the side you should be fine. On the toyo I had the mounts were welded to the silencer skin(top), that cracked and gave way after only a few months.Here is a photo of the mounts on the side.

Thanks that is the one I have crikey took the old one off did look really good but is completely rotten on the top, what a job couldn't tell which way round the bolts?studs where ended up taking cat off as I had put a new down pipe on a year or two ago and could undo bolts can't finish today as need another gasket now.
