Hi - 2005 TF with the oval fob. Haven't owned her long, so not sure what to expect, but I have to hold the fob near the front of the car to lock/unlock the car - whereas, with my Rover 75, I can stand about 20 yards away.

Is this "they all do that, Sir", or is mine dodgy?

I changed the battery, but no joy...

Thanks :D

Ummm... but then I read in another thread that my kind (oval fob) doesn't have an internal aerial at all in the car, and is likely to have a problem with the radio board...?

It's in your thread:

"This was the reply from Paul (Technozen)

The Pektron SCU has no external antenna, the internal radio receiver board has an antenna on the circuit board. Poor radio range on these units is usually caused by the radio receiver board itself, it's a common problem"

Or have I misunderstood...?
