Replacement seat back
morning all,
Just sourced and ordered a good replacement drivers seta back for my '96 VVC, as mine is badly damaged.
I've found the "how to" for getting the seat out, how difficult is it to split the seat and re-assemble with the new seat back? Any nasty's to be aware of or is it all fairly straightforward?
Cheers, T

There was a seat rebuild article in the August 2016 issue of 'MG Enthusiast'. There is also this website explaining the rebuilt of a TF seat: http://mgtf115darkside.blogspot.com/2007/08/new-seat-covers.html
I replaced the seat and back foams last winter using the website and the article in MG Enthusiast; it was really easy to do. The only special tool need is hog ring pliers and hog rings.

I snip the hog rings with plyers and replace with small cable ties.

Carried out this task today, nice and straightforward.
If I had one piece of advice, buy a T50 1/2" drive torx bit that you can use with a ratchet and extention. Those seat bolts are tight!
