My 2002 TF160 is rare in that it has a factory fitted front fog lamp loom but no fog lamps. Having obtained and fitted a pair of front fog lamps and a genuine MG rover switch I have hit a full stop in the proceedings.
The switch illuminates correctly but there is no relay click and the fog lamps don’t illuminate. Can anyone advise where the relay and fuse are located because my search has so far drawn a blank .

I have a feeling that it has to be switched on in the BCU.

What type of fob you have: oval with logo in the middle or square one with two buttons?

Front fogs relay is the one named C0024. The next one beside named C0019 is Cooling Fan 1 relay. Black box on the left is engine bay fusebox.
Fuse would be in passenger compartment fusebox number 26 rating 10 amps
You also have more info on relays and fuses here: https://forums.mg-rover.org/mgf-mgtf-12/mg-f-tf-fuse-relay-listing-487819/

Many thanks for that, but the mystery deepens !
The wiring to the front fogs is present, the wiring to the switch is present, but no relay or relay holder . Any suggestions ?

I would suggest to trace wiring from frknt fogs in the engine bay and see where the wires go. Hopefully that will lead to some new information, since relay should be either in engine bay, or behined fusebox in the passenger compartment, tucked away.

Thanks to all for suggestions. Eventually located the relay block behind the glovebox. Plugged in a yellow relay and fog lights now work correctly.
