MGF Oil Temp gauge not working
My oil temperature gauge doesn’t work. I’ve replaced the sensor without success. I tested the gauge itself by applying a voltage to it and it moved. I’m guessing now that there’s a break in the wire somewhere. The multi plug looks sound. Does anyone know if there is a common break point in the wiring?

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Have you tried testing the wiring by applying voltage to the plug for sensor?
And it maybe a silly question but are you making sure the oil is actually warm enough?
It normally takes up to 5 miles to get enough heat into the oil for the gauge to start reading.

Yes, I've tried applying voltage at the plug, but the gauge doesn't move, that's why I think it's a break in the wire. If I apply the same voltage at the gauge directly, it goes to nearly full deflection. The gauge never moves, even after a few hours on the motorway.
