Hi
Last weekend I managed to get the car out for a couple of early morning runs through the Essex country side at around 5500 rpm I noticed a slight hesitation on arriving home I plugged the OBD reader in and found misfire on cylinder 4 in stored faults.
I plan to change the plugs leads and coil packs as I cannot find any evidence in the cars history of this having been done previously, can anyone tell me the correct part I require as all searches seem to show 2 options that look completely different mine is a 2009 car.

Did you clear the codes and then they reappeared?
Where have you looked for the parts?

Hi
Yes cleared codes after first run but have not inspected the parts yet, my thoughts being if I have strip out the the engine inspection cover to get to the engine and then remove the engine cover I might as well change them anyway

This type of miss is a regular on the TF and if like mine and 3 others I have been involved with, you may find verdigris on the plug lead where it joins the coil pack .

Rimmer Brothers or Brown and Gammons are good for new parts.
I was disappointed with MG & Alfa - I asked if they had some parts for my Alfa Romeo 159, they said they would check but never came back to me, even when chased.

Parts arrived Yesterday albeit a little late but Mg Alfa contacted me to apologise for the delay so know problem, on inspection found verdigris on cylinder 4 plug lead changed coil packs, spark plugs, removed air cleaner washed and oiled it with K&N cleaner reassembled in between hail and rain,
Hoping for an early morning run through the Essex countryside without any signs of a misfire before the bank holiday traffic starts.
