overheating
Problem with multilayer gaskets is there are too many cheap crap parts out there, so they have a bad name. Good ones are not cheap!
I got a cheap one (Hmmm) and it leaked as soon as I filled the coolant up (The head skimming was not glass smooth!)
I then used the elastomer head gasket from Payen. Never had an issue, and much more tollerant on an imperfect head. Did about 30,000 miles before eventually selling TF.
As talkingcars says recomendation seems to be the N-series gasket kit now days. Expensive, but no reported failures that I have heard about.
