Spots on red hood

Hi all.... I've been away for a while as been in and out of hospital waiting rooms etc for months.... Still not well (did get a cancer scare all clear at least so far) but totally stir crazy, so I set about washing the hood. It's red so of course never looks 100% clean, but this time despite using my trusty hood cleaning kit, an extra brush, plus my carpet extraction machine, there are still kind of mould spots.... Next option is using the actual carpet cleaning fluid I get from Screwfix, as it removes anything, but thought I'd ask first for a less harsh solution!
As always thanks I advance.
Hopefully get him MOT'd over next month as he's been sat since April.

I am thinking red is one of those colours that Renovo does not work on, reports on the forums say its stains the roof a brown colour.
I am not sure what other dyes are like on other available kits.
As far as the mould goes, I think a gentle scrubbing with some mild solution of soap, water and a only bit of bleach may help, but test on a bit of the hood that you cannot see first and let it dry overnight, say the underside of the front near the catches.
The hood must have been dyed originally, so there must be something out there to get it back to original colour and mask any stains.
Try asking on the Facebook forums, as there are several and someone must have done this before, or call Darren Hardy or MGFMania as they both do roofs and may be able to advise.

Hi and sorry to hear of your health concerns . Regarding the hood have you tried good old Stardrops. I would test a bit on the hood first just to see if it reacts .

Hi guys... It's kinda greenish.... It was dirty as hell and didn't notice until I cleaned the hood.

Adam , if as has been suggested it's oil you could try any good brand brake dust cleaner . When I worked for London Taxis, a colleague covered a seat base in grease ( by accident ) and came and asked what to do . I just tested a small area with brake spray and with no bad reaction we carefully sprayed the affected area and wiped with a clean cloth and it dissappeared.
Just test an area first !
