All

have not been on for a while nor driven my F. This is due to no mot and a broken handbrake cable and srs light. The cable is proving to be a real pain with limited access and seized rounded bolts. Yesterday after a lot of patience and copious heat I manage to free the last bolt. However still cant remove it due to hole in subframe not lining up. I am loath to dry and drop it though as I have a feeling that could prove even more painful. I am going to attempt to increase the hole with a grinder or possibly a step drill. Unless anyone has any other ideas? Does anyone know how the plate comes off its not loose so could it be stuck? Have removed seven bolts so far. Is this right.
Regards
Neil

The plate is a pain to remove but I'd be careful about modifying it as it forms a barrier between the engine bay and the cabin.

Thanks for the reply. I am only going to modify the subframe by enlarging a hole that already exists to access one of the bolts. I didn't mean the plate that holds the cables. Talking about the cables how do you know which is which as I cant see any difference.

I think the handbrake cables are the same.
