Here's an easy ish upgrade .. few pics to assist , fit puddle lights, I included a ( 'doors open' ) red light too while I had the door card off .
I used number plate illumination led lights for puddle lights , off flea bay for 5 or 6 quid, & a couple of round red lights from same source.
Carefully cut an aperture into a desired position in the door card - rear side of the grab handle offers plenty of space ( repeated careful cuts with a Stanley worked for me), similarly with the red lights ..as wide as you can really ..make sure there is enough clearance behind the door card & the fitting is not fouled by the metalwork of the door itself, or you will have an unwanted hole in your door card.
Piggy back the connectors ( see the pics)from the footwell lights & run the wires around the footwell ,tho ugh the door trunking duct with a wire 'fishing' device and then behind the card.
I found it easier to go from the door to the footwell with a wire & pull the cable back .
Wire up like pole wires ,insulate properly and refit the door card after a brief test .
When the doors open the lights all come on together.
Good luck
Easy peasy really ..slow and steady is the order of the day.

Nice one. I added some round logo puddle lights in the bottom of the door which look cool.

Nearer the floor obviously in the base of the door .. but I thought easier cutting in the door card & led lights are bright enough for the slightly extra height ..cheers.

I like them,.....I wonder how far they would project the logo. Just thinking of putting them in the bonnet to project MG into space.
(I am joking i think)
