loss of power

I’ve got another problem with my new Mgf steptronic and wonder if you can help me please?
The car runs lovely except for every morning I drive down my road and as I go up a hill My Mg looses power as though there is a flat spot and I have to pull over, put the car into neutral and when I pull away everything is fine.
I do have a minor hunting when on tick over which is always there and the loss of power will not return until the following morning on the same route.
I have replaced my fuel filter and air filter.
The car did stand for a couple of years and was serviced before I purchased it and I have filled up fuel to 3quarters of a tank.
Apart from this issue and the steptronic noise, I love the car and I would love to fix these issues.

It may be time to look at replacing the coilpacks and HT leads, and also fit new plugs at the same time.
It would be my first point of call.
