Strange boot warning light - Radio problem
Hi,
While out today in my MGF I hit a huge pot hole and instantly my radio cut out and the boot warning light came on. Also the indicators no longer flash when locking the car.
I know the wires can fray going into the boot, but would this cause a problem with the radio?

Well it turned out to just be the fuse
Not sure why the pot hole caused it to blow though

I would check for frayed shorting cables the jolt probably pushed a cable to earth causing fuse to blow also check boot light as it can come loose and touch down.

The fuse blew because the damaged wire (missing or cracked insulation) earthed out as the wire moved due to the pot hole.
That damaged wire is either behind the radio cage or in the loom by the boot hinge.
